Beware of My Mega Sale Voucher scam

I have received this email from mega-voucher@woldam.com, which states that I've won shopping vouchers worth RM 1000.

The site is owned by Planet 49, which holds some fake contests.

The following blogs have posted on this scam too.

they will charge RM 5 for each question sent via SMS (this is how they cheat your money).

Google the contest website if you think that there's something fishy about the contest.

4D3N trip to Bangkok

Thanks to HungryGoWhere Malaysia, I got a chance to visit Bangkok, Thailand for 4 days 3 nights (Though I felt it's shorter than that since I only slept in the hotel in the first day...).

The contest organizer had chosen Amari Residences Bangkok beside Bangkok Hospital. On my first trip from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the hotel (it took around 30 minutes to reach), my first impression is "Wow, this is so isolated..." (And later I found out that many taxi drivers didn't even know this place). The room given was Studio Deluxe, which is quite spacious. There are fridge, microwave oven, etc.

Free WiFi is available in the room but I couldn't connect to the WiFi. Thus, I used the data package I bought from DTAC booth in the airport (once exited from the Immigration check, it's on the left after turning right). It costs 299 baht and valids for 35 days. 100 baht free call is included in the package.

Coincidentally, there was Bangkok Shutdown during the period I was in Bangkok (how good I am in choosing travel period...). Luckily nothing bad happened.

After breakfast at Soma Restaurant in Amari Residences, Terminal 21 was the next stop. In Terminal 21, every floor represents a city.

Wat Traimit Wittayaram (Traimit Royal Temple) was the last stop before heading to Chinatown for dinner. It has the World's Largest Golden Buddha and it costs 40 baht to enter the place. Shoes have to be taken off but don't worry, bags are provided for you to take around your precious shoes.

Makan time. T&K Seafood (it stands for Toy & Kid) serves hot seafood dishes. It opens from 4.30 p.m. Get there early as it will become packed. For those who can't eat spicy food, the sauce in steamed fish and tom yam might be too spicy.

Asiatique sells all sorts of things, just like pasar malam, but most of the stores are air-conditioned. This is a good place to buy cheap souvenirs.

On the next morning, I visited Erawan Shrine which has the famous four-faced Buddha.

Then, I went to Central World to do some shopping for my CNY new clothes since it's quite near to Erawan Shrine. Later, another shopping time in Central Chidlom... The whole day was shopping, shopping... as these two shopping malls are enormous.

After a day of shopping, the next morning was massage time at Health Land. It costs 500 baht for a 2-hour massage.

Last foodie time before heading back to Malaysia. Baan Khanitha is an award-winning Thai restaurant but it is quite expensive (around 1000 baht per person).
